1. Initial conversation: to get to know each other and jointly explore how coaching could be relevant to your situation and needs, what you would want to achieve and to explore our mutual commitment to working together.
2. Contracting and goal setting session: to explore both the desired coaching outcomes with key measures of success and to set up our principles and commitment to working together as a partnership.
3. Three-way conversation with line manager and (optionally) HR business partner: to share the approach and focus of the coaching. To ensure support from line manager and other relevant stakeholders whilst at the same time ensuring the confidentiality between coach and coachee. The impact of coaching is greatly enhanced when the broader business context is fully understood and factored into the work and the coaching goals are aligned with the business strategy.
4. A series of 1-1 coaching sessions: to explore where coachee is today with thought and behavioural patterns, underlying interests, needs and inner drivers. To define how this would need to change in order for coachee to achieve desired outcomes and impact. Simultaneously to work through key questions, explore insights, add new perspectives and get challenged. The number of sessions will vary according to coaching goals and your needs.
5. Closing sessions: to review the journey of discovery and insight and to focus on a clear commitment to action with the identification of a dynamic and living plan with appropriate support. Another three-way-conversation with the line manager takes place to ensure their further assistance and integration into the day-to-day.
